Join Interval, The Free Company and Hoka on Sunday, 16th August for a day of trail running, delicious food, and community celebration.

RUN WITH US

For Trail Sessions #4 we’re doing a 10km marked and marshalled route which will start and end at The Free Company, taking you throughout the surrounding woodlands, fields and enjoying views across Edinburgh.

Jog, walk, or race the route – it’s completely up to you. There will be a variety of prizes available from Hoka, precision fuel and hydration & Interval from best photo to quickest time.

Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome to join the adventure—just be mindful of livestock and other runners.

Your ticket includes:

• A large dexter beef burger, garden potato salad & dessert.

• Race entry

• A runners goodie bag.

EAT & DRINK

The Interval Van will be onsite serving coffee and pastries before heading out onto the trails. After your run, join us up in one of our pastures for bevvies and burgers. Your ticket includes a two-course meal, crafted with ingredients grown and raised on the farm.

At the bar, you’ll find a carefully curated selection of natural and organic wines, local beers, seasonal cocktails, and non-alcoholic drinks.

TIMINGS

10:30 – Arrive, BIB collection, grab a coffee & pastry, and try on Hoka demo shoes

11:30 – Trail race begins

12:30 – Burgers in the field

14:00 – Awards ceremony

16:00 – Official wrap-up, but feel free to stick around for more drinks at the bar

GETTING HERE

We’re based just outside Balerno, with easy access from Edinburgh.

Public Transport – From Edinburgh city centre, take the Lothian Bus 44 to Balerno. Hop off at Crosswood Crescent, then enjoy a 1km warm-up walk or jog to The Free Company.

By Car – We’ve got plenty of parking, so driving is an easy option.

Taxis – You might be able to get an Uber here, but they don’t operate pickups this far out. Instead, we recommend Edinburgh City Cabs for reliable transport.
