Our Seasonal Feasting Sessions return this February. An intimate communal dining experience shaped by years of shared meals, conversation, and connection around the table.

These evenings are a celebration of the way we first began: one sitting, one set menu, everyone gathered together. While our restaurant now runs with a daily changing à la carte menu, these one-off events return to our roots – unhurried, generous, and guided entirely by the season.

With limited seating and a carefully curated six-course menu (plus a few surprises along the way), each evening reflects the quiet abundance of winter on the farm. It’s a time when the larder is at its richest: slow-cured meats, stored roots, deep broths, preserved fruits, and the last of the hardy winter greens - all brought together to warm, comfort, and restore at the darkest point in the year.

The evening begins with canapés and drinks around the fire, before moving through the garden paths under winter skies and gathering at long communal tables in the Milking Byre. From there, our chefs will guide you through a menu that embraces the depth and generosity of the season.

Winter invites us to pause - to draw closer, to savour what we’ve prepared and put by, and to celebrate the ingredients that sustain us until spring returns. Our Winter 2026 Feasting Sessions are a tribute to this moment of stillness and richness. Join us on 27 & 28 February from 19:00.

Tickets are £85 per person and include a six-course set menu created especially for the evening. Drinks are not included in the ticket price. On the night, you can choose from paired drinks menus - £59 alcoholic / £39 soft - or enjoy our full bar selection of natural wines, local beers, seasonal cocktails, and house-made soft drinks.

  • Our Feasting Sessions centre around a six-course set menu, shared by everyone on the night. Each menu is created especially for the occasion, guided by what’s freshest and most abundant from the farm that week.

    We don’t share menus in advance. Instead, we let the garden, the pastures, and the season shape the evening. Part of the joy is not knowing exactly what will arrive at the table — only that it will be vibrant, thoughtful, and rooted in our surroundings.

    We’re happy to accommodate all dietary requirements; please let us know when booking so we can prepare.

    Please note: due to the format of the evening, the Feasting Sessions may not be suitable for young children, and we do not offer a children’s menu.

    Dinner is priced at £85 per person.

  • Our bar opens for drinks at 18:30. We kindly ask that you arrive by 19:00 so we can seat everyone promptly.

    Dinner service typically concludes around 22:30, but you are welcome to stay for a drink or two afterward.

  • We operate a licensed bar that accepts both card and cash payments. Our carefully curated menu is designed to complement our food perfectly, featuring natural and organic wines, local beers, seasonal cocktails, and house-made soft drinks.

    For Feasting Sessions, we also offer paired drinks menus created to accompany the six courses:

    • Alcoholic pairing — £59 per person

    • Soft drinks pairing — £39 per person

    Both are designed to showcase seasonal flavours and carefully sourced drinks. Pairings can be pre-booked or simply decided on the night.

    Please note that BYOB (Bring Your Own Bottle) is not permitted.

  • We are located just outside Balerno, with easy access from the City of Edinburgh. Click here to view our location on Google Maps.

    TAXIS & UBER

    Please note that while you may be able to get an Uber here, they do not operate pickups this far out. We have a great relationship with Edinburgh City Cabs and recommend using their services instead. You can pre-book online, via their app, or by phone.

    BUS & SHUTTLE SERVICE

    The number 44 Lothian Bus to Balerno is your best option from the centre of Edinburgh (route map here—select 44 from the dropdown on the left).

    We offer a free Land Rover shuttle service to and from the Crosswood Crescent bus stop, bringing you to the farm and back at the end of the evening. The first pickup from Crosswood Crescent is around 18:45, and we aim to have all guests at the venue by 19:30.

    If you’d like to use the shuttle, please let us know in advance so we don’t leave you waiting at the bus stop!

  • Tickets are priced at £85 per person. Due to the limited nature of these events, tickets are non-refundable if cancelled or in the case of no-show within 7 days of the event.
